Microneedling is a minimally invasive technology treating skin conditions such as fine lines, deeper wrinkles, acne scarring, stretch marks, scars, hyperpigmentation, laxity and enlarged pores. This procedure does not damage the skin but in fact protects the epidermis, stimulates the production of collagen + elastin and activates the keratinocytes. As a result, the skin becomes smoother, tighter and thicker. 

Often benefits are noticeable after just one treatment, however depending on the skin concern, 3-6 treatments may be recommended ideally spaced 2-14 days apart. Benefits are long lasting and skin can continue to improve for months following the treatment. 

The treatment begins with massaging on the Environ’s signature 3-part cleansing protocol before sterilizing the epidermis. A topical numbing cream (lidocaine) is applied to ensure the microneedling is done with very little discomfort. The area will be treated with an InnoPen™ which uses a vibrating, stamp-like motion set at different depths depending on the desired results. Immediately after microneedling a 10% lactic acid cool peel is applied to release dead and damaged skin cells OR a cooling alginate mask is applied, followed by a thick layer of peptide serum and Vitamin A rich moisturizer. 

After the treatment the area will be quite red and swollen for about 48 hours, much like a sunburn. At this time, nurturing the skin with Vitamin A+C is of great benefit as they are co-factors in the production of normal collagen type I + III. You will be sent home with some aftercare product for the first 2 days while the micro-channels are open,  allowing these active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the dermis. These Environ products will feel very soothing as the skin rebuilds and regenerates to appear firmer and more smooth.
